The method used is descriptive-qualitative, so theresults of the study are explanations in the form of words rather than numbers. The results ofthis study indicate that Kevin Tierney, Katie’s husband, has always been more dominating inKatie’s life, especially in household matters. Kevin’s domination of Katie included being incharge of Katie, forbidding Katie to associate with others, and being in charge of financialmatters. The result of Kevin’s dominance was that Katie experienced some oppression in theform of physical and non-physical violence.
